Sara Khan wanted to kill herself after her name was linked to the drug nexus

The Narcotics Control Bureau has been finding out all those linked to the drug case in the entertainment industry. Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor have been given summons. The investigation then spread to the TV industry after Anuj Keshwani, one of the peddlers revealed links to TV actors Sanam Johar and Abigail Pande. Apparently, they have named 20 TV actors in front of the Narcotics Control Bureau. There are reports that the NCB raided Abigail Pande's Juhu residence and found some quantities of charas. As per reports on Republic TV, Abigail had named Sara Khan and Angad Hasija. The shocking part was that Sara Khan and Angad Hasija were named for peddling. They both had not reacted to this earlier but now, Sara Khan has finally given her opinion on it. In an interview with ETimes, she spoke about how shocked she was.

Sara Khan shared, "Angad informed me about our names doing the rounds in the media. I was shocked and failed to understand why my name was being dragged into it. I haven't done anything wrong. I was inundated with calls from the media, but I chose to wait for clarity as advised by my legal team." She also said that she will take legal action against those who dragged her name unnecessarily. She said, "I am contemplating legal action against people who carried unverified reports about me. My life can't be reduced to click-bait journalism." Sara Khan also said that post her named was dragged in the case, she was trolled on social media. Sara revealed, "Without even checking the veracity of these allegations, people started trolling me. They called me names and a drug addict. This incident shook me to an extent that I almost wanted to kill myself! I have slogged to reach where I am today. I would like people to remember that I am also someone's daughter, sister and expect the same respect and treatment that they would want for the women in their house." Sara Khan also revealed that Abigail had clarified that she had not named Sara in the case. She said, "Abigail called me a few days ago to tell me that she hadn't taken anyone's name and had no idea why this was happening. Is it because I party and am a happy-go-lucky person? That doesn't make me a criminal." Sara also said that there are many important issues than defaming others.

She said, "Jo log hamein judge kar rahe hain woh pehle apne girebaan mein dekh le. They can't get away with saying anything to actors, just because we are public figures. I am shocked to know that many people trust unverified reports. If the audience feels that we influence the youth, I want them to be inspired by some of the positive characters we play." She also said that due to these news she lost work. She said, "I have been dropped from three social media campaigns following these rumours. Who will compensate me for it? I hope people stop judging others by blindly following rumours."
