If you joke about a bad thing or situation, you somehow feel better. That's exactly what happened on Twitter recently. The prices of onions have sky rocketed in the past couple of days. In some places of Maharashtra, they were being sold at Rs 100 per kilo. Twitter users felt this was great for memes and soon, hilarious memes on onion started trending. While you get tears while cutting onions, these memes will give you khushi ke aansu.

It's amazing how films and the entertainment world are used to create memes. The film dialogues are aptly and creatively used by people, leading to some really funny stuff. Like in this case, Kangana's crying Queen scene is taken to express our sad state due to the onion prices. Even Amitabh Bachchan's KBC dialogue is used to express Jains getting richer as they don't eat onions. Hera Pheri and its dialogues are used in so many memes that we have lost count.
Here's hoping that the onion prices come down. Until then, all we can say is 'Pyaaz, tune kya kiya?'
