After Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat, filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar is collaborating with Katrina Kaif for a two-part superhero flick, which will be mounted on a lavish scale. While the excitement around this project is at its peak, the director recently revealed that Kat has already started her physical prep for it and the project will go on floors in January 2021. Talking to HT, Ali said, "If everything goes well, we should start rolling sometime in January. Katrina has already started her physical prep. But she has a few other commitments to wrap up before starting work on the superhero films."
Ali has temporarily shifted to Dubai to work for the same series. "Yes, right now, I -- along with my team -- is working out of Dubai. The reason being: an international team is working with us on the series but due to the Covid-19 induced travel restrictions, it wouldn't have been easy for them to fly in-and-out of India. So, in order for things to function smoothly, we have been stationed here," added Ali Abbas Zafar.
Calling it a very special project, the filmmaker added, "Right now, we are busy with the release of Khaali Peeli. Then, there's also a web show, Tandav that we are really excited about. It's a really different format, but at the same time, also creatively liberating." Reportedly, the it will be streamed on an OTT platform. Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif will be next seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, which is directed by Rohit Shetty. The film also features Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer, Vivan Bhatena, Kumud Mishra and Jaaved Jaaferi in pivotal roles with a cameo from Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.
