SP Balasubrahmanyam Funeral: Thalapathy Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi and fans pay respects to the legendary singer

The whole of India is grieving the death of legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam. He passed away yesterday in Chennai. The legendary singer died due to COVID-19. The body will be cremated at his Red Hills Farmhouse in the Thamaraipakkam in the Thiruvallur District. The mortal remains were brought there in a hearse van last evening. Prior to that, the body was kept at his Nungambakkam residence for people to come and pay their last respects. Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay reached his farmhouse to pay his final respects. He met his son, SP Charan who was busy in the last rites of his father. As per a report in PTI, the hearse van had to slow down to allow hordes of fans to have a final glimpse of the legendary singer.

It seems there is heavy police in that area. The CM of the state ensured that SP Balasubrahmanyam got a gun salute. The 74-year-old singer had sung more than 40,000 songs in his long career. In Bollywood, he is known as the voice of Salman Khan. Vijay Sethupathi, Taapsee and Radhika paid a tribute to him from the sets of their film in Jaipur.

Condolences have come from all over India. Kamal Haasan visited him on Thursday. Filmmaker Bharathiraja was seen at the hospital after his demise. Famous composer DSP, Mayilsami and singer Mano also attended the funeral and visited him in hospital. From the political fraternity, AIADMK leader D Jayakumarand and Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar Yadav attended were seen. SP Balasubrahmanyam is survived by his wife, Savitri and two children, SP Charan and daughter Pallavi.
