Deepika Padukone arrives at the NCB office for questioning — view pics

Deepika Padukone has arrived at the NCB office for questioning. Heavy police protection has been given to the top actress. She came alone without Ranveer Singh. The actress wore a salwar kameez and was seen with a brown bag in hand. Deepika Padukone was away in Goa for the shoot of Shakun Batra's film when the news broke out. She flew down on Thursday evening with Ranveer Singh. Deepika Padukone made her way alone into the office. We are not sure if her legal team has already arrived or not. The actress looked very resolute and completely unfazed. A lady cop was with her. As per Times Now, she will be questioned by KPS Malhotra, deputy director of the NCB.

There is talk that she will be questioned along with her manager, Karishma Prakash. The actress has been in trouble because of a 2017 alleged drug chat where she is seen asking for hash. She makes it clear to someone that she needs hash and not weed. There were rumours that Ranveer Singh might come with her to the office but that has not happened. In fact, the NCB denied receiving any such request from Deepika Padukone's better half. It was rumoured that he had said that she suffers from anxiety issues, which is why he wanted to be with her.

In the mean time, #StandWithDeepika is trending on social media. Fans feel she is being victimised as she spoke out against the government by visiting JNU during the promotions of Chhapaak. This is what people are tweeting for the leading lady of Bollywood.

The actress will have to answer around 20 questions from the NCB. The media reporting on the case has been rather deplorable, as people should understand that summons are just for enquiries.
